Pottery demonstration & Hands-on experience in Sifnos
Discover the history of the traditional Sifnian pottery, through a tour of a traditional ceramics workshop, step by step. Learn about the history of ceramics, the production method of the Sifnian clay and go back to the past of the island, with its famous history and the old workshops of the island. In the workshop you will get a demonstration of a local potter making handmade items for about 1,5h, while informing you about today’s construction stages of the objects. On your turn, with his assistance, you can make ceramics, paint clay cups, dip them in glass, and fire them (30 minutes). The pottery that you will draw, will be finished the next afternoon and ready for you to take as a souvenir.
